Use the Matter-by-Matter Export Feature in ELM

Welcome! This guide walks you through the new Matter Export functionality available in the DiliTrust ELM (Enterprise Legal Management) module. Whether you're a legal department manager, team lead, or contributor, this feature empowers you to perform in-depth analysis and take faster decisions based on granular matter data.

? What is the Matter-by-Matter Export Feature?

This feature allows you to export matter details directly from your Matter List view in just a few clicks — either as a simplified or detailed report — enabling you to:

• ? Analyze workload distribution across team members
• ? Track average resolution times by matter type
• ⚖️ Balance operational workload across teams
• ? Export structured data for Excel, Power BI, Word, or PPT reports

? Where to Find the Export Option

From your Matter List view:

1. Navigate to Matters in the sidebar.
2. At the top of the list, click the Export button.
3. Choose between Export (simple) or Export (detailed).

? Types of Exports

1. ? Export (Simple)

This option exports all visible matters with the same fields and order you currently see on screen.

• ✅ Ideal for quick exports
• ?️ Reflects current view settings (columns & filters)
• ? Includes all matters in your view (all pages)

2. ? Export (Detailed)

This includes all available fields for each matter, regardless of what’s currently visible on screen.

• ? Perfect for deep analysis, audits, or advanced reporting
• ? Fields are structured in two sections:
  • General matter info (e.g., Name, ID, Owner, Status, Priority)
  • Matter-type-specific fields

? Output Format

The exported file is in XLSX format and will be automatically downloaded by your browser. The naming convention is:

 <CurrentViewName>_Export_<Date>.xlsx 

Examples:

• MyMatters_Export_2024-06-23.xlsx
• OngoingLitigationsAn_Export_2024-06-23.xlsx

Note: Only fields are exported, not section headers. Fields shared across different matter types are standardized into the same columns.

Only users with the following roles can export matters:

• ? Admin
• ✍️ Contributor
• ? Reader

? Multilingual Support

The export interface supports the following languages:

⚠️ Known Limitations

• ? Extremely large exports may take a few moments to process.
• ? Section headers are not exported—only fields.
• ? Only data visible from the current Matter List is included in the export.
