The Intakes Management feature allows your business teams to follow legal requests, which your legal department can then track, review, and — if necessary — convert into full legal projects (Matters). This makes intake a powerful tool to centralize demands, streamline workflows, and ensure no request is lost ⚡.
☝ Intakes vs. Matters: What’s the Difference?
It’s important to distinguish between the two:
- Intakes = Quick internal legal requests (short-term, simple needs). Example: “Please review this NDA.”
- Matters = Mid to long-term legal projects that require full tracking, documentation, budgeting, and collaboration. Example: “Defending a litigation case” or “Managing a complex contract negotiation.”
✅ With DiliTrust, you can start small with an Intake and easily convert it into a Matter if it grows into a larger legal project.
✍ How to Submit a New Intake
- Go to requests menu
- Click New Request.

- Fill in the key details:
- Requester (who needs legal support)
- Request type (e.g., NDA, compliance question, contract review)
- Description of the issue
- Attachments (optional, e.g., draft documents)
- Click Confirm

The request will now appear in the Intakes list, ready for review by your legal team.
⭐ Managing and Reviewing Intakes
Once submitted, Intakes can be:
- ✅ Assigned to a legal team member
- ✅ Updated with status changes (e.g., “In Review”, “Completed”)
- ✅ Adapt the priority level
- ✅ Closed once the request is resolved
Feel free to use filters for better visibility

This ensures visibility across the team and avoids duplicate requests ✊.
✍ Converting an Intake into a Matter
If a simple Intake request evolves into a more complex or long-term case, you can seamlessly convert it:
- Open the Intake request from the Intakes list.
- Click on Convert to Matter.
- Fill in additional details required for a Matter, such as:
- Matter type
- Budg
