  • You must have an active DiliTrust account with access to Matter Management.
  • The Gmail Add-in must be installed for your Google Workspace (contact your admin if needed).
  • Authentication is handled securely via OAuth2/OpenID Connect for safe access:contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}.

✍ How to Use the Gmail Add-in

1️⃣ Open an Email in Gmail

While reading an email in Gmail, open the right-hand sidebar and launch the DiliTrust Matter Management add-in.

2️⃣ Choose What to Attach

You can:

  • Attach email files (.eml)
  • Attach attachments from the email (PDF, Word, etc.)
  • Select whether to include only the last email or the entire thread:contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}

3️⃣ Select the Target Matter

Use the search bar to quickly find the Matter by name or ID. You can also pick from your recently used Matters for convenience.

Example: Choose “Regulatory Provision - RPR-345” or “Compliance Directive - CDI-782”.

4️⃣ Confirm the Action

Click Confirm to finalize. The add-in will attach your selected email or files directly into the chosen Matter.

5️⃣ Success Message

You’ll see a confirmation message: “Your content was successfully added to your Matter!”

  • Use the search bar for faster navigation when you have many Matters.
  • Recent Matters appear at the top to save time with recurring work.
  • Attachments keep their original filenames for easy tracking.
  • Only authorized users can attach to Matters – this ensures compliance and security

⚖️ Limitations

  • The Add-in is currently limited to attaching content to existing Matters (creating new Matters from Gmail is planned for a future update)
  • UI design is managed by Google’s Gmail Add-on framework (cards), so customization is minimal
  • Internet connection is required – offline mode is not supported.
